The Detroit Cobras s'est formé en 1994 à Detroit (Michigan) sous l'impulsion de
Rachel Nagy (chant, piano),
Mary Ramirez (guitare). En 1998, le groupe sort son premier album
Mink Rat or Rabbit sur le label Sympathy for the Record Industry. Suit
Life, Love and Leaving qui lui permet de décrocher un contrat chez le label anglais Rough Trade. En 2005,
The Detroit Cobras revient avec son troisième opus
Baby. Suit
